Clean Computer

It's never to late or early to start your spring cleaning, however you would like to look at it! As your searching the web do you notice that your keys are pretty dirty? Here's an easy way to make a christmas tree or any design your wish on your nails. Grab some tape and cut two small strips and palce them on your finger nail like a big triangle. Then cut four strips of tape into a triangle shape and place them on the sides to make the shape of a tree. Paint the whole nail green, and wait until it has dried to remove the tape. Make sure do decorate your tree if you want to!

New Ice Tray

Just the other day I was trying to get an ice cube out of one of my plastic ice trays and bent my finger nail back in the process! It hurt super bad and I needed to find an easier way to get ice cubes. This new ice tray is very handy! You don't have to worry about forcing the ice to come out, they fall out much easier when they are in this new tray I bought! I would check the local stores around you and online! I'm stalking up as much as I can before there aren't many left.

Night Light Wine Bottle

I love having cool light fixtures around my house. This is a super fun DIY that looks great as a decoration. If you have an empty bottle of wine sitting around your house this is the perfect way to make use of it. All you need is a small portion of christmas lights that you will place inside of the bottle. There are two ways you can hide the cord from the lights. The easiest way is taping it to the outside of the bottle, preferably in the back. If you are handy you can drill a hole in the lower back of the bottle! If you want to make one that looks like the bottle shown above you will need to go buy some stones, like the ones you put into a fish tank. You will super glue them too the bottle. If you want something easier and you like the label of your bottle you can just leave the outside as is or attach anything you think would incorporate well. If you don't like the lights being as noticable you can put crystal filling in the side, it gives it a great finished look.

It might be a little soon, but before we know it the Holidays will be just around the corner. If you have small children this would be fun to make with them! Go to your local craft store and buy lots of felt. You can make a tree and lots of ornaments and your kids can make their own tree as many times as they want to! It's a great way to keep them busy while you are too!

Take Wax Out Effectivley

 

Everyone seems to have trouble getting the wax out of their jars. I have two different ways for you to try and get the wax out sucessfully without breaking the glass or hurting yourself! One way is to put the jar into the freezer and let it freeze. I leave it in there for a day just to make sure it was in there long enough. When the wax freezes it shrinks making it easy to break the wax and take it out in big pieces. The second way is it boil water. Then pour the very hott water into the jar of wax. Leave it alone for a couple hours until the water has fully cooled. the wax should float to the top and be easy to pick out! Now you don't have to go out and buy a jar, just reuse a candle jar around the house!

I found this fun how to through pinterest. I love it because you can make it into any way you want! Some people have a bigger doorway and would like it to cover more than some stores would make. With this you can decide how big, small, rectangle, circle or anyway possible! Of course depending on how difficult and time consuming, you plan on making it! All you need are four different supplies to make it happen. I'm sitting at my desk right now noticing that I have cords everywhere! My desk is very neat but because of all the cords it makes everything look like a mess. A family friend has all her cords neat and they never get tangled with each other! Then I realized it was because she had this nifty box to organize and hid the mess! It is a perfect way to hide what you can't get rid of. All she did was hook up an extension cord and place it insie of a box. She poked holes into the side of the box where she can plug in many different chargers. It is brilliant, so give it a try!

Dorm Ottoman Bliss

My daughter just went off to college. This summer we went looking for an ottoman for her new dorm. She didn't want to have the same one everyone else had so we went on a hunt to find an efficient one. There were a lot of the same ones around Target and Walmart. Than we found one just like this but it was a little shorter so that her and her roommate could fit it under their futon. The really nice thing about these ones are that they are on wheels and they have a hard top. Whenever her and her roommate want to work or eat on the futon they have a hard surface to do it at. It's really nice that they are on wheels because when they have a lot of classmates hanging out in their dorm they can move it to give them more space. There are also shelves below to give them extra space to put their books or other useful things. All of the other dorm mates have little ottomans only one person can work on it at a time. With their's being longer than normal they can both enjoy it!

All my jewelry gets all tangled up into each other, but now that I found this nifty invention that won't happen anymore! To make this all you have to do is go buy cutlery treys! You pick the amount depending on how much jewelry you have. Then attach them together and buy some hooks to put in each slot to hang up your necklaces. I really like the horizontal slots because you can put either earrings. more necklaces, rings or bracelets inside! Now that the summer has come to an end there isn't anymore sun which means we are all becoming super pale. It takes a lot of time and money to go to the tanning salon and keep up a tan. All I want to do before I go back to school is to get a massage. Personally I've put one with three sections on one end of the wall so it looks divided but you can still get through to the other room efficiently. I use various products when I'm flat ironing my hair.After awhile I start to see a build up that does not look pretty. I didn't think it was a big deal, but after awhile it got so bad there needs to be something done about it. Baking soda and hydrogen peroxide seem to be the go to thing to fix any beauty related problem. Well, there is nothing different here. Mix those together and apply the paste onto your iron. Work it in and watch it harden and your gunk fall right off. It an easy fix instead of going out and buying a whole knew straightener!

When I went to the salon the other week my hair was in dire need of some protein. My stylist suggested I buy this protein product. You apply this all over your head after every other shower. I'm working on nursing my hair back to health and this stuff is really helping! Now I get my protein fix without having to pay for a protein treatment once a week. It really has been a life saver and a great bargain! Unique Photo Frame

I always love finding new crafty ways to make my home look more unique. This is beautiful. I have a lot of CD's in my home, but now I use my iPhone to listen to music so I no longer need them. When I found this I went out and bought a thick frame from a craft store and started clear the clutter of my CD's. Of course I saved the classics. I broke them up into medium size pieces and glued them to the frame. I hung it up right under some lights and the colors is reflects are so neat! It looks great in dim lighting with just the light above glowing. If you try this yourself feel free to get even more creative with it. Add some glitter in the cracks or some writing! Weave Your Way To Looking Good

Like any teenager and young adult my daughter likes to keep up with the latest fashion and find way to stay original. She liked to have things other people don't have. It can get very expensive trying to keep up. When I found this idea I couldn't wait to tell her about it and try it out. I wasn't completely sure she would go for it but she loved it! She has a lot of old sweaters that could use a tune up. So she grabbed one of them and we went to the thrift store to get some cheap designed fabric to weave through. We just did this basic shape, but I think she is going to get more creative with it with her friends. I really enjoyed being able to spend some time with her doing this and it was super cost effective.

This looks so silly, but it comes in handy so much! Whenever I'm doing my hair bobby pins are hard to keep track of and when I'm in the middle of doing my hair it messes everything up when I have to pause, hold my hair and scavenger for a bobby pin. This bracelet is just a simple slap band with a magnet attached to it. All I do is attract the pins to the magnet and when my hands are already in the air from doing my hair so are my bobby pins! I'm sure if you get one of these for yourself or even a girlfriend that it will come in handy for more than just doing your hair! Just remember to take it off before leaving the house!

These are easy at home temporary hair colors. There are select colors and you can get them at your local beauty salon. They are colored powder and you just apply to your hair. You can try the Ombre look, color a whole strand of hair or give just the tips some color. They come out after your first or second wash. Than you can switch it up and try a different color all the time! A little trick I've learned is that if you apply heat, like straightening your hair it holds the color longer. It's fun for any ages of girls!

I had my class reunion this past weekend, and I really wanted to impress. I wanted to show up looking and feeling amazing. Quick solutions are hard to find, but I realized I could get a body wrap. It was quick weight loss for just enough time that I needed. It got rid of toxins in my body and cut inches away that I have been trying to do for some time now. When I showed up I got so many complements. Feeling amazing made me look that much better as well. Getting me to look like this jump started my weight loss goal. Get Rid Of Pit Stains

 I know this does seem a little weird to be sharing, but how much is this a frequent problem for everyone? My boyfriend gets horrible pit stains on his white tee's. Usually he will walk around wearing them underneath his regular shirts, but lets get serious that is disgusting. So I always end up buying his white tee's more often than mine. I found this nifty trick and now he doesn't have to walk around in his gross t-shirts and I can wait to buy his new shirts till it is time to buy mine! So next time your about to pour straight bleach on a white shirt, instead mix one part dawn soap with two parts hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Scrub them thoroughly and let stand for an hour. Than continue your regular washing routine and they should be as good as new. 

Homemade Gel Nails

This is a great way to get the salon look without having to pay the salon price. I always want to get fake nails, but hate how much damage they do. When I heard about gel nails I really wanted to try them, but yet again I knew they were going to be super expensive. I was in ulta one day when I found a great deal on these home gel nails. You can pick any color of nail polish you want, just make sure to follow the instructions it gives you. It is a three step process. First you put a coat of activator, than your desired color of polish.Repeat this one more time for two solid coats. Make sure to switch brushes with the glaze and polish between each coat. The activator is sticky and could mess up the brush. When your done you will have hard beautiful looking salon nails.

Keeping Up Without The Cost

I can't afford to go to the dentist and get my teeth whitened every time I have a cleaning and those strips I can buy at the drug store can also get expensive. I used to watch my mom do this when I was younger and now I'm following in her footsteps. I mix hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, water and toothpaste. I brush my teeth with this mixture once or twice a week for about 2 minutes each time until I get the results I'm looking for. Once I got where I wanted to be I limited myself to using this mixture Once or twice a month. I have all these things at home so it's super convenient and less worry on the wallet!

There are a lot of different styles that can go with different outfits that range from simple to edgy. If you have a pair of nude shoes you can save money and time. Before I had nude shoes I would get a new outfit and have to buy new shoes that were colorful and were limited to what certain colors in an outfit. That's a nuisance!

No More Fridge Clutter

I have 3 little young ones running around my house. They like to make art work all the time and I love showing it off, but with there being three of them it starts to accumulate. There is only so much room on the fridge for everything. I saw this brilliant idea on the internet and it worked super well! I hung a few bars on my office wall and attached their work. If you do daycare this would create a good amount of room to get all the kids work up. Once my children get a little older I plan on hanging one in each of their rooms and they will choose how much art work will hang! This way they feel like you support them and want to show off their work. It looks a lot more put together than using a magnet on a crowded fridge

Make Plain Shorts Unique

If you have a lot of regular blue jeans, you should try doing something different with them. This "Do It Yourself" is great. It's easy to do. First start by grabbing some old jean shorts or cut some old pants! Than bleach the bottom of the shorts and stamp on some cloth paint. If your someone who knows how to sew you could try to stitch the shapes you've created! It gives you endless possibilities to end up with. Best of all you've just saved so much money. When your done they will look like you over paid for your shorts, but little will they know that you made them all from some old jeans.

Keep Your Clothes Smelling Good

Pick any of your favorite air fresheners and stick it in your dresser drawers.  That way while your clothes are just sitting in their they are still going to be smelling great when you take them out to wear. There are those shirts or pants that just sit on the bottom of the drawer for ages. Then when the day comes you finally want to wear them they are smelly, if you stick a freshener in there you won't have to worry about them having that old stale smell! It's genius and cost effective and it's awesome that you can pick any scent your heart desires.
