My husband knows I am pretty picky about then things I want. When he asked me to marry him he didn't have a ring. I was confused and a little angry at the same time. After the fact he told me he wanted to wait until I hopefully said yes so I could design my own
custom engagement ring in Orange County. Some women might not like that but I thought it was the smartest thing he has ever done!
